Juneteenth 2026 In Berlin, What You Need To Know

This Friday, June 19, is the Juneteenth Holiday, which marks the end of slavery in the U.S.

BERLIN, CT — Berlin town offices will close early and suspend operations for one day in observance of Juneteenth, town officials announced.

All Town of Berlin departments will close at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, and remain closed Friday, June 19, in recognition of the federal holiday.

Officials said trash and recycling collection schedules will not be affected by the holiday.

Residents can expect refuse and recycling pickup to continue on its regular schedule.
