2 Crashes In Bethel Area Prompt Multi-Agency Response: Fire Officials

Multiple ambulances were called to assess and transport patients, officials said.

BETHEL, CT — Emergency crews responded to two separate motor vehicle crashes Tuesday afternoon, including one on Route 6 in the Stony Hill section of Bethel and another on Interstate 84, fire officials said.

The Stony Hill Volunteer Fire Company said crews were dispatched starting around 3 p.m. to the incidents, which occurred within a short time of each other.

The first crash was reported on Route 6 near Bottega, while the second occurred on I-84 and involved multiple vehicles, according to officials.

Due to the number of occupants involved in both crashes, multiple ambulances were called to assess and transport patients.
