BETHEL, CT — The Town of Bethel has officially closed on its purchase of the former Wells Fargo property in downtown Bethel, according to First Selectman Dan Carter.

Carter announced the purchase in a recent community newsletter and said the town’s economic development office will soon release a request for proposals for possible future uses of the property.

“Our Economic Director will be releasing a Request for Proposal soon for uses of the space,” Carter said. “In the meantime, we will be working quickly to clean up the property.”
