Bethel Police Warn Parents After TikTok Figure Found On School Grounds

Police said a man claiming to be "famous on TikTok" was found on school property without permission.

BETHEL, CT — Bethel police are urging parents to monitor their children’s online activity after officers said a man claiming to be “famous on TikTok” was found on school property this week.

Police said officers responded around 12:30 p.m. Thursday after a 58-year-old man was found on school grounds at Bethel High School.

According to police, he told officers he was there to meet “some of his fans” and claimed he was “famous on TikTok.”

Police said the man was informed that visitors without parental or guardian approval are not allowed on school property and was told he would face arrest if he returned to Bethel school grounds.

Authorities said they do not believe the man to be dangerous, but encouraged parents to speak with children about the dangers of meeting people online.
