Man Stabbed In Bethel, Suspect Taken Into Custody At Shopping Plaza: Police
The victim was taken to the hospital with multiple stab wounds, police said.
BETHEL, CT — A 69-year-old man was stabbed in Bethel Tuesday morning and a suspect was taken into custody shortly after, according to Bethel police.
Officers were called to 208 Greenwood Ave. around 9:30 a.m. for a report of a stabbing.
When officers arrived, they found the victim with multiple stab wounds, including injuries to his upper back and wrist, police said.

The man was given aid at the scene before being taken to Danbury Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
Police said the suspect, identified as 39-year-old Sean S. Vota of Northport, New York, was seen walking toward a nearby shopping plaza on Greenwood Avenue with a duffel bag after the incident.

Officers located him at Dolan's Plaza and took him into custody without incident, police said.
Charges are pending.
Police said there is no threat to the public.
