Road Closed In Bethany Due To Bridge Issues: Town

BETHANY, CT — A road is closed in Bethany Friday afternoon due to bridge issues, according to the town.

In a Facebook post around 2 p.m., police said Bethmour Road is closed at Pinebrook Crossing to all vehicle and pedestrian traffic effective immediately due to structural issues with the bridge.

The town also noted "more updates will follow."

In an update around 3 p.m., town officials said the bridge near the intersection of Bethmour Road and Route 67 is closed.

Drivers are asked to use Poplar Swamp and Bear Hill roads to access Route 67, according to the town.
