Despite Main St. Reconstruction Project, Branford Is Open For Business, Says Economic Development Commission

The EDC hopes the community will support local businesses, the "backbone of Branford," during the construction work.

BRANFORD, CT — Branford is open for business, the town’s Economic Development Commission reminded folks in a social media post.

“Support local on Main Street,” the EDC wrote. “As the Main Street Reconstruction project moves forward, we want to remind all residents, shoppers, and visitors of a few incredibly important facts before you head out.”

All Main Street retail establishments, boutiques, and restaurants are open and operating under their regular, normal business hours.

“Our small business community is the absolute backbone of Branford,” the commission wrote. “They sponsor our local youth teams, give our town its unique shoreline character, and drive our local economy. The best way we can show our appreciation for them during this transition is with our continued loyalty. When you shop small on Main Street, your dollars stay right here in the Branford community.”
