Obituary: Doreen D'Addio Scott (Porto Funeral Homes)

Doreen D’Addio Scott, 64, of East Haven, beloved wife of Brett R. Scott, went home to be with God on July 2, 2026 surrounded by her family at Yale New Haven Hospital. Loving mother of Toni (Kemal) Carmon. Grandmother of Adriana and Dominic Carmon. Sister of Douglas (JoAnn) D’Addio, Robert D’Addio and the late James and Michael D’Addio. Among those who will miss her are her nieces, nephews and, of course, her beloved cat, Simba. Doreen was born in New Haven on June 24, 1962 daughter of the late Salvatore D’Addio and Adele Simmons Esposito. At the time of her death, Doreen was the owner, along with her husband, of Lookers Embroidery. Doreen spent time in Brigantine, NJ and was a longtime resident of East Haven. She was a woman of Catholic faith, a loving wife, daughter, mother and grandmother. She was great at making memories as she was always up for an adventure and always had activity after activity ready for her grandchildren. She loved doing puzzles, gardening and traveling. Doreen was great at giving advice and was a savvy businesswoman. ~Been there, done that!~
