BRIDGEPORT, CT — A 35-year-old Bridgeport man was sentenced Wednesday to 80 years in prison for a 2024 murder on Stratford Avenue in Bridgeport, according to authorities.
Judge Keven Doyle sentenced Terence Gallimore to 60 years for the murder of Brandaja Winston, 28, on August 17, 2024. Gallimore also received 10 years for first-degree assault for shooting and seriously injuring a 30-year-old man standing near Winston. Judge Doyle also sentenced him to 10 years for criminal possession of a pistol or revolver. These sentences are to run consecutively.
Gallimore was convicted of the charges in December 2025, following a trial that lasted approximately two weeks. The jury deliberated for a couple of hours before delivering the guilty verdicts.

Bridgeport detectives reported that Gallimore fired multiple rapid-fire rounds from an AK-47 assault rifle at a crowd on Stratford Avenue around 2:25 a.m. on August 17, 2024. He was in a moving car when he fired. Ms. Winston was struck in the head and was killed instantly. The male victim underwent surgery and survived. Both were unintended targets, according to detectives.
Judge Doyle stated that the facts of the case necessitated sentences that would prevent Terence Gallimore from being a danger to society, according to Bridgeport Police Det. Jeffrey Holtz.
