Iconic Canton Doughnut Shop Closing Its Doors
The owners of the popular, independently-owned doughnut haunt will keep their Avon store open, however.
CANTON, CT — A popular Canton doughnut haunt will close next week, requiring Canton residents to travel to nearby Avon if they want the shop's unique style of sweet treats.
Officials with Luke's Donut & Grill in Canton confirmed to Patch Tuesday that Wednesday, Feb. 18, will be the last day the doughnut shop will be open locally.
Luke's, which specializes in doughnuts, breakfast sandwiches and lunch sandwiches, along with coffee and other beverages, is located on Route 44 in Canton (159 Albany Turnpike).

A representative of Luke's, however, told Patch that while business remains very strong in Canton, a "landlord issue" is prompting the beloved eatery to close its doors in Canton.
The good news is Canton residents won't have to travel far to get their Luke's fix, as the representative said its efforts will be focused on Luke's Donut Shop in Avon.

The Luke's in Avon is located at 395 West Avon Road, putting it in the next town over and not too far a drive for Luke's Canton customers.
