Nature Center To Host Special Night Hike in Canton
Roaring Brook Nature Center will lead an evening Thunder Moon hike on July 26 in Canton. Advance registration is required.
CANTON, CT — The Roaring Brook Nature Center will host an evening hike under July's "Thunder Moon" on Sunday, July 26, allowing participants to explore the outdoors after sunset.
The guided "Almost Full Thunder Moon Hike" is scheduled from 8 to 9:15 p.m. at the nature center, 70 Gracey Road.
The "Thunder Moon" is the traditional Native American name for July's full moon, a reference to the frequent thunderstorms that occur during the summer.

Participants will take a guided walk through the nature center's trails while learning about the nighttime environment.
Organizers recommend wearing long sleeves and bringing a flashlight and insect repellent.

Admission is $11 per person or $36 for a family of four. Advance registration is required, and space is limited.
