Placing U.S. Flags on Old Saybrook Veteran Cemeteries

Hello Old Saybrook Wreaths Across America volunteers and donors! 

The Old Saybrook VFW Post 10153 needs our help to place American flags on veterans gravesites in honor of Memorial Day at the four cemeteries in Old Saybrook  (Riverside Cemetery, Cypress Cemetery,  Upper Cemetery, and St. John’s Cemetery).

Volunteers will meet on Saturday, May 23, at the Old Saybrook High School front parking lot at 9 am. 

Volunteers will then be divided into four groups. Each group will  be given a designated cemetery, detailed instructions, and American flags. There will also be a box at each cemetery for retired/damaged flags.

With enough volunteers this event should only take one or two hours of your time to honor these veterans whose ultimate sacrifice ensured the freedoms that we all enjoy as Americans.
