Pasqualina “Patty” Mongillo Porto, 90, of New Haven, beloved wife of over 60 years to the late Andrew C. Porto who was the love of her life, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2026 surrounded by her family at HarborChase of Branford. Loving mother of Crescenzo “Chris” Porto of North Haven; Andrew “Andy” Porto of Clinton; Linda (Enrico) Picozza of Fairhaven, MA; Mary Ann Porto of Norwich; Frank (Heather) Porto of Hamden and the late Carmel (Mario) Forgione. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister, Rosina Porto, and brothers, Michele and Ernesto Mongillo, Sr. Pasqualina was born in Faicchio, Province of Benevento, Italy on May 21, 1935 daughter of the late Francesco and Christine Sansone Mongillo. Prior to her retirement, Patty worked in the Food Service Department for the New Haven Board of Education. Patty was known for her love of cooking and her desire to feed anyone she came in contact with. Her warm smile and cheerful laugh set her apart from others. Always happy and cheerful, her passion was the warmth she shared with others, hugging and kissing and especially the love she shared with her family, which was her priority. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and making pasta and meatballs for Sunday dinner. We will always think back and remember her smile and warmth.

Her funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80), East Haven WEDNESDAY morning, February 4, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish in Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Family and friends may call on TUESDAY from 5pm to 8pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cerebral Palsy Foundation at www.cerebralpalsyfoundation.org.
