Panera Bread To Open Store At Clinton Shopping Plaza: Report

CLINTON, CT — Panera Bread will open a new location at a shopping plaza in Clinton, according to Hearst Connecticut Media.

The new spot will be at Indian River Shops at 11 Killingworth Turnpike, between Starbucks and Yale Urgent Care.

No opening date has been announced.

Plans for the cafe as well as a Chase bank and the urgent care clinic at the shopping plaza were announced last year.

Panera Bread currently has 33 locations in the state. The brand opened a store in Hamden in December.

Panera Bread is a fast-casual bakery-cafe chain that started in 1987. The company serves soups, salads, sandwiches, baked goods and other items and has over 2,250 stores across the U.S. and Canada.

Panera is part of Panera Brands, which also includes Caribou Coffee and Einstein Bros. Bagels, according to a company statement.
