Popular Grocery Store Moves Forward With Plans For Clinton Location

The chain already has over 30 stores in the state and is seeking to open at a local plaza.

CLINTON, CT — Aldi is moving forward with a new store in Clinton. The discount grocery chain plans to be located at 224 to 230 E. Main St., next door to Walgreens, according to The Connecticut Scoop.

Plans were recently submitted to the town.

The site currently has three buildings that will be demolished. The new store will be about 20,650 square feet with additional retail space of 6,000 square feet.

Parking at the site will be between 105 and 110 spaces.

A real estate flyer notes that the shopping center is "in the heart of Clinton's 'daily needs' retail district and conveniently located on Route 1 and only minutes from I-95."

Other area retailers include Stop & Shop, Auto Zone, Walgreens, Dunkin', Shop Rite, and Advance Auto Parts.

The popular discount grocer currently has over 30 locations across the state and plans to open additional stores.
