DANBURY, CT — Like seemingly every product these days, greeting cards can also come with a bit of sticker shock, especially for something that amounts to a piece of cardboard.

But CityCenter Danbury continues to bring creative, community-driven projects to life with the Free Little Card Barn.

This is a welcoming space where residents can take, leave, or share greeting cards, always free and always for the community.

It operates the same way as a Little Free Library, where books are exchanged and passed around.

The city thanked RP Connecticut’s Livable Communities program, the Connecticut Institute for Communities, Jacqueline Reizes, and Councilwoman Andrea Gartner for helping make this "thoughtful initiative possible and for spreading kindness and connection across Danbury."

Last week, city officials and community leaders gathered to officially dedicate the Free Little Card Barn, which is located at the Connecticut Institute for Community's (CIFC) Community Room at 120 Main St., Danbury.
