Danbury Drug Probe Ends With Arrest, Crack Cocaine Seizure: Police

DANBURY, CT — Danbury Police arrested a 39-year-old man and seized crack cocaine after a months-long illegal drug sales investigation.

Danbury police said detectives from the Special Investigations Division arrested Keith Gordon of Danbury, Tuesday following an investigation into drug sales throughout the city.

Detectives obtained search warrants for Gordon, his cellphone and vehicle, as well as residences at the Brookside Condo Complex on Padanaram Road in Danbury and Bostwick Arms in New Milford, police said.

During surveillance Tuesday, detectives saw Gordon driving on Down Street and "actively making a drug sale," according to police. Police said Gordon also had an active arrest warrant for violating Deadly Weapon Offender Registry requirements.

Gordon was taken into custody without incident as he got out of his vehicle in the Brookside Condo Complex parking lot, police said.

Detectives then searched both locations. Police said they recovered a quantity of crack cocaine, several electronic scales and packaging materials from the Danbury residence. Packaging materials and electronic scales were recovered from the New Milford residence.

Gordon was arrested on charges of violation of Deadly Weapon Offender Registry requirements, possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to sell narcotics and use of drug paraphernalia.

He was held on $200,000 bond, according to police.

The operation included Danbury's Emergency Service Unit, Brookfield, Bethel and New Milford police and the DEA's Bridgeport Field Office.
