Danbury Library Hosts 'Take Your Child To The Library Day' Event

The Danbury Library will offer imaginative play, sensory activities, and free books for children and families this weekend.

DANBURY, CT — The Danbury Library will host a Take Your Child to the Library Day celebration on Saturday, Feb. 7.

The event is scheduled from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the library, located at 170 Main St.

This free event invites children and families of all ages to participate in various activities at the library.

Children will have the opportunity to engage in imaginative free play.

One activity allows children to pretend to be healthcare workers, caring for their teddy bears.

Another offering is sensory playdough cooking. Attendees can also explore cool library toys located in the Story Corner hub.

The Friends of the Danbury Library are providing special books for all visitors to keep. These books will be given away during the celebration.

The first 50 children to arrive will receive a teddy bear. Families are encouraged to bring their own stuffed friends to the teddy bear clinic due to a limited supply of teddy bears.

No registration is required to attend the Take Your Child to the Library Day event.
