Danbury Police To Hold DUI Checkpoint This Week

The checkpoint is part of the department's efforts to deter impaired driving ahead of the holiday weekend.

DANBURY, CT — Danbury police announced they will conduct a DUI checkpoint during the evening hours of Wednesday, July 1, as part of an effort to keep impaired drivers off local roads.

The checkpoint will be in the area of Main Street and Patch Street during the evening.

Police said the checkpoint is intended to deter motorists from driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and to promote roadway safety ahead of the busy Fourth of July holiday weekend.
