ICE said multiple people were arrested during a targeted enforcement operation in the city Thursday.

DANBURY, CT — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement conducted an enforcement operation in Danbury on Thursday that resulted in multiple arrests, according to federal officials.

Witnesses said arrests occurred around 8 a.m. outside Danbury Superior Court, according to CT Insider.

A Department of Homeland Security spokesperson said officers arrested "multiple criminal illegal aliens," adding that "many of whom were recently released from jail by sanctuary politicians who refused to honor ICE’s detainers."
