New Danbury ShopRite Looking To Fill 200 Jobs Ahead Of Opening

DANBURY, CT — A new ShopRite preparing to open in Danbury this fall is looking to hire approximately 200 employees, according to Cingari Family Markets.

The Connecticut-based supermarket company will hold a two-day job fair Friday, Sept. 25, and Saturday, Sept. 26, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the future ShopRite, 72 Newtown Road.

Full- and part-time positions are available across the store, including cashiers, grocery clerks, produce, bakery, deli, seafood, meat, prepared foods, overnight stocking, maintenance and customer service.

Prospective employees will be able to meet with hiring managers, learn about available positions and interview on-site. Both experienced supermarket workers and first-time job seekers are encouraged to attend, according to the company.

The Danbury supermarket is expected to open in November and will become Cingari Family Markets' 11th ShopRite location in Connecticut.

“Whether someone is looking for their first job, a flexible part-time position, or a career in the supermarket industry, we look forward to welcoming them to our team,” Cingari Family Markets President and CEO Thomas Cingari Sr. said in a news release.

Additional details about the store's grand opening are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
