Multilingual Art Exhibition To Open In Darien

DARIEN, CT — "VOICES," a free solo exhibition by artist Carmanie Bhatti, will open with an artist reception Thursday, Sept. 17, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at UCBC, 980 Post Road in Darien.

The exhibition features calligraphic works incorporating eight languages: English, Arabic, Persian, Latin, Greek, Dari, Chinese and Sanskrit.

The works explore cultural differences, empathy, human suffering and the connections that remain across different traditions.

Admission to the reception is free. The exhibition will remain on view throughout September and October.
