Town Of Durham Hires Executive Assistant, Finance Director
The town has two new hires, Executive Assistant John Board and Finance Director Alicia Mancarella.

DURHAM, CT — The town has hired an executive assistant and a finance director. The newest members of town hall staff include Executive Assistant John Board and Finance Director Alicia Mancarella.
"John comes to Durham with a wealth of municipal experience working alongside CEOs from New Britain to Newtown to Derby; he will be an asset to our town, and I encourage residents to come visit and introduce yourself," First Selectman George Eaves said in a statement.
Board graduated from Western Connecticut State University with a degree in interdisciplinary studies with concentrations in political science and communication.

Mancarella was previously with Regional School District 13 and Anthem/Blue Cross Blue Shield.
"Alicia's a qualified individual to be our next finance director," Eames said in a statement. "With accounting and auditing experience, along with her MBA from the University of New Haven, she's prepared to help collaborate across town government to help build financial stability for Durham in the years to come."

Eames said the new hires continue his mission to fill vacancies at town hall as they arise.
