Upcoming Open Houses In East Hampton & Portland

EAST HAMPTON, CT — East Hampton has the bigger weekend, with a new Whispering Woods Colonial a few minutes from Lake Pocotopaug, a 1957 brick ranch the listing says is for sale for the first time and a Tartia Road ranch with a hot tub, outdoor bar and camper hookups. Portland adds two homes, one of them a raised ranch with four garages.

Nine East Hampton and Portland homes are holding open houses Saturday, Oct. 31, and Sunday, Nov. 1, with prices from $270,000 to $995,000, according to Zillow.com. Seven are in East Hampton and two are in Portland.

Saturday, Oct. 31

50 Smith Street, East Hampton, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (also Sunday), $479,000. This three-bedroom, two-bath brick ranch was built in 1957 and is available for the first time, according to the listing. It sits on a level lot between the Airline Trail, the Cranberry Bog and the fields at Memorial School. It's on 0.96 acres.

180 Tartia Road, East Hampton, noon to 2 p.m., $995,000. This three-bedroom, 2.5-bath ranch pairs lodge-style warmth with two propane fireplaces, 12 zones of radiant heat and a Kohler standby generator. 55 Depot Hill Road, East Hampton, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., $530,000. This three-bedroom, 2.5-bath ranch was built in 2003 on 1.68 acres, with a fireplace in the living area and a finished lower level that adds more than 1,000 square feet and a second fireplace, according to the listing. Zillow lists 1,582 square feet on the main level.

165 Colchester Avenue, East Hampton, noon to 2 p.m., $399,995. This three-bedroom, two-bath ranch leans on energy savings, with a whole-house heat pump, a hybrid heat-pump water heater and water filtration. The eat-in kitchen opens to a deck over a fenced yard, and the listing puts it near Lake Pocotopaug, the Salmon River and the Airline Trail. It has 1,333 square feet on 0.94 acres.

2 Town Line Drive, East Hampton, noon to 2 p.m., $749,900. This four-bedroom, 2.5-bath Colonial is new construction by M&R Custom Homes in the Whispering Woods subdivision, ready for immediate occupancy.
