For Karen, this partnership is deeply personal. Before entering public service, she spent 40 years on the front lines of healthcare, starting as a teenage nurse’s aide and working for decades as an X-ray and MRI technologist at Yale. As a longtime member of Local 34 herself, she knows firsthand the
dedication and sacrifice it takes to care for our communities.
