Patricia E. (Pat) Palmer Higgins 85, of East Haven passed away on April 16, 2026. Loving and cherished wife of 57 years to the late Arthur (Champ) Higgins. Loving mother of William (Christine) Higgins, Elizabeth (William) Flynn, Brian (Rosemarie) Higgins, Shawn (Tanya) Higgins and James (Linda) Higgins. Sister of Clare (Kevin) Kanoff and Sister Margaret Palmer. Loving grandmother of Anne, Alyssa, Mary, Jessica, William, Jason, Lauren, Ryan, Jordan, Justin, Nathan, Joshua, Aric, Nikolaus, and Shauna. Loving great grandmother of Gregory, Thomas, Norah, Mabel, Aubrey, Elena, Analeigh, Ellie, Talon, Ayla, and Scottlyn. Pat was born on May 14th 1940 to the late Frances and George Palmer. She was predeceased by her brother George Palmer and sister Frances Freeman. She lived in East Haven all her life. First growing up in Momauguin where she had a wonderful childhood and memories with her siblings at the shore. After marrying she raised her family in East Haven. Pat was a woman of great faith attending daily Mass at Our Lady of Pompeii. She enjoyed spending time on her front porch with family and friends, a good burger with fries and was always ready for ice cream. Family and faith were most important to her, she was a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. We will love and miss her forever.

Her funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80), East Haven Monday morning at 9:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 10:00. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven. Family and friends may call SUNDAY from 4:00-7:00PM. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Patricia's memory to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org.
