What To Know About Weekend's Fall Festival, Road Race Traffic, Parking, Road Closures: East Haven Police

EAST HAVEN, CT — East Haven police shared information on traffic and parking for this weekend's East Haven Fall Festival and the Road Race/Kids Fun Run.

For the duration of the festival, Hemingway Avenue between Main and Edward streets will be closed.

The roadway will be closed for festival opening and willl reopen after festival closing Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.

Police said drivers should use an alternate route Friday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday, noon to 6 p.m.

Drivers should expect additional traffic impacts Sunday morning for the road race.

What folks need to know about parking:

Edward Street – Parking prohibited on the odd-numbered (north) side of the road

Chidsey Avenue – Parking prohibited on the odd-numbered (east) side of the road.

Park Place – Parking prohibited on the odd-numbered (east) side of the road.

River Street – Parking prohibited on the odd-numbered (north) side of the road.

The East Haven Community Road Race/Kids Fun Run will briefly affect traffic on Sunday morning. The kids fun run begins at 7:30 and the road race begins at 8 a.m.

The race should last no more than an hour.
