Enfield Police Announce DUI Checkpoint

Enfield police said the overnight checkpoint is aimed at keeping local roads safe.

ENFIELD, CT — Drivers in Enfield can expect a DUI checkpoint later this week on Route 190, according to police.

The Enfield Police Department said the checkpoint is scheduled for Friday, April 24, from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. near Palomba Drive on Hazard Avenue.

Police said the announcement was made as required by court rulings. The department said the checkpoint is part of its effort to keep roads safe and urged drivers to plan ahead and drive sober.
