Enfield Rec Rolls Out Summer 2026 Camps, Clinics, Job Openings

The town is also hiring summer staff and offering a discounted lifeguard certification course.

ENFIELD, CT — Enfield Recreation has posted its Summer 2026 program lineup online, with registration already open for residents and non-resident registration set to begin April 10.

The department said this year’s offerings include camps, classes, special events and programs for a wide range of ages, with limited space in many activities.

Town officials are also hiring for seasonal summer jobs, including camp staff, lifeguards and swim coaches. Enfield Recreation is additionally hosting an American Red Cross lifeguarding course in May for people who will be at least 16 years old by June 1.

The summer schedule includes youth programs such as spring field hockey clinics, a home alone safety course, a babysitter safety course and a fishing event at Freshwater Pond in partnership with the state’s CARE program and Enfield Community Police.

Several themed camps are also on the calendar, including a crime scene investigation camp, an art camp themed around the rainforest, a cooking camp focused on from-scratch dishes and an engineering camp through Mad Science.

Officials encouraged families to register early because spots are expected to fill quickly. More information is available through the Enfield Recreation Department.
