2. Daffodil Days

When: Daily through April 21, 2026
Where: Various locations throughout Essex

To celebrate the arrival of spring, over 45,000 gorgeous golden daffodils have been planted from Ivoryton to Centerbrook to Essex for local residents to enjoy as they stroll through town and explore local restaurants and merchants. 3. Connecticut Spring Boat Show

When: April 24 - 26, 2026
Where: Safe Harbor Essex Island, 11 Ferry St, Essex, CT

The Connecticut Spring Boat Show returns to Essex for its 10th year, bringing together boaters, marine businesses, and exhibitors along the Connecticut River, with dozens of boats on display and proceeds supporting Sails Up 4 Cancer. This three-day, rain-or-shine event offers expanded exhibits and performances in 2026, with free admission for children under 13 (with a paid adult) and all-access tickets valid for the full weekend. 4. Chester First Friday Night Art Stroll
