Dr. Noah Charney, a prominent professor of art history and founder of the Association for Research into Crimes Against Art, will provide a virtual lecture on the complexities of art crime and how theft can increase an artwork’s fame. He will delve into the recent heist at the Louvre in October 2025 that included the theft of nearly 100 million dollars' worth of jewelry, as well as other theft incidences in the history of the Louvre including the 1911 heist of Leonardo’s Mona Lisa.
