Coyote In Fairfield Tests Positive For Rabies: Report

The animal recently attacked two people, according to authorities.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A coyote involved in recent attacks on humans in Fairfield has tested positive for rabies, News 12 Connecticut reported.

The state Department of Public Health reportedly conducted the tests through its Public Health Laboratory.

People who involved in the encounters with the animal are reportedly receiving treatment.

Earlier this week, Fairfield Animal Control announced that a person was bitten by a coyote on Catamount Road, and that there have been an increase in coyote encounters in town in recent weeks.
