Fairfield Sidewalk Sale & Street Fair Set For This Weekend In Downtown Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, CT — Fairfield's Office of Community and Economic Development is reminding residents that the Fairfield Sidewalk Sale & Street Fair is scheduled for Saturday, July 18, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine.

Some participating merchants will begin offering discounted merchandise during advance sales starting Thursday, according to the town.

More than 50 vendors are expected to set up along the Post Road corridor, from Coco & Company in Southport to Heritage Square Shopping Center, the Promenade at the Brick Walk and The Two Oh Three. Admission is free.

The event is co-sponsored by the Town of Fairfield and the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce.

Sherman Green is scheduled to host a children's area featuring an inflatable bounce house, along with vendors and musical entertainment, including the WEBE108 street team. The Fairfield Teen Theatre Company is also scheduled to present a preview of its upcoming production of "Grease: The Musical!" at 11 a.m.

Live music is planned throughout the day at multiple downtown locations, including Sherman Green and an area near the Fairfield University Store at 1499 Post Road.

The Experience Fairfield tent at Sherman Green will offer information about the town's monthly newsletter. Visitors who sign up for the newsletter may receive a limited-edition commemorative poster while supplies last.
