Fairfield University Ranked 27th On LinkedIn's 2026 Top Colleges List

FAIRFIELD, CT — Fairfield University ranked No. 27 on LinkedIn's Top Colleges 2026 list, up one spot from last year, according to the professional networking platform's annual rankings, the Fairfield-based university announced.

Additionally, the university also ranked No. 9 nationally for job placement, a category that measures the percentage of graduates who begin a full-time job or enroll in graduate school within the same year they earn their degree.

LinkedIn's annual rankings evaluate accredited, four-year colleges and universities in the United States using aggregated data from its professional network. The rankings measure alumni outcomes across five areas: job placement; internships and recruiter demand; career success; network strength; and knowledge breadth.

According to LinkedIn, the job placement category tracks the percentage of alumni from recent graduating classes who start a full-time position or graduate school program within one year of graduation.

The university said the recognition reflects its academic programs, experiential learning opportunities, career coaching, employer partnerships and alumni network.

Fairfield University also cited a separate ranking from Georgetown University's Center on Education and the Workforce that places it among the top 1 percent of U.S. universities for return on investment.
