Fairfield Woman Accused Of Assaulting 'Intellectually Disabled Client' At Westport YMCA: PD

WESTPORT, CT — A 68-year-old Fairfield woman was arrested by Westport police this week in connection with an alleged assault on an intellectually disabled person at the Westport Weston Family YMCA, according to authorities.

Elisa Feinman turned herself in at Westport Police Headquarters on Tuesday and was charged with the following:

• Abuse of Persons in the Third Degree
• Assault, Third Degree (of an intellectually disabled person)

The alleged incident was reported over the weekend by staffers at the Allen Raymond Lane facility.

"Staff reported that they had seen a caregiver, later identified as paraprofessional Elisa Feinman, physically mistreating
her intellectually disabled client while at the facility," wrote Westport Police Lt. Anthony Prezioso in a statement. "A further investigation was conducted including a review of surveillance video of this incident."

A warrant for Feinman was obtained by authorities, which led to her arrest on Tuesday.

Feinman was released after posting bond on bail of $50,000, and is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on July 31.
