Owl Rescued From Chimney In Fairfield
Fortunately, the owl did not appear to be injured, according to authorities.
FAIRFIELD, CT — It may not have been a hoot, but members of Fairfield's Animal Control Division rescued an owl over the weekend that had gotten stuck in a chimney.
The division posted about the rescue on Facebook, drawing heartfelt thanks from residents.
"The owl did not appear to have any visible injuries, but was transported to a licensed wildlife rehabilitator for evaluation out of an abundance of caution," officials wrote. "We would like to thank the homeowners for lending a helping hand and assisting our officers during the removal."
