CT Coffee Shop Expands Into Well-Used Municipal Park
There will be a ribbon-cutting planned for Saturday, Sept. 12, before recreation soccer games.
FARMINGTON, CT — Soccer players, families and other visitors to Tunxis Mead Park now have a new place to grab coffee and refreshments while spending time at the busy Farmington recreation complex.
Daily Grind CT , located at 17 Depot Place, Unionville, has opened a new location at Tunxis Mead, 80 Tunxis Mead Road, according to Explore Farmington.
An official ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 12, at 8:30 a.m., shortly before the morning's first recreation soccer games.

The new location will serve visitors attending Farmington High School home games, recreation soccer games, tournaments, and other activities at the complex. Hot and iced coffee are among the offerings.
Tunxis Mead is one of Farmington's major recreation areas and includes athletic fields, a skateboard park, playground equipment, pavilions and a boathouse.

The property also serves as a trailhead for the Heritage Bridge Trail historic hike.
