Driver Mishap Leaves Car In Salmon Brook In Glastonbury: Police
A driver had to be cut out of a vehicle that crashed into Salmon Brook in Glastonbury, police said.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A mishap involving an elderly driver left a vehicle in Salmon Brook Wednesday, police said.
The crash took place at 12:50 p.m.
The car was leaving the parking lot at 2709 Main St., but, in the process, shot across the lot, hopped a curb off the western shoulder and went down and embankment and into the water, police said.

Glastonbury Police, Fire, and EMS responded to the single-vehicle crash and the driver had to be extricated from the 2006 Subaru Impreza, police said.
The driver was then taken to an ares hospital for evaluation, police said.

The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection was notified and responded to assess a minor fuel leak from the overturned car on the embankment, police said.
