GLASTONBURY, CT — A section of Stonepost Road in Glastonbury is scheduled to close next week as the town completes culvert repairs near the intersection with Olde Wood Road.

According to the town notice, Stonepost Road will be closed from Wednesday, Aug. 19, through Tuesday, Aug. 25, for repair of a culvert by the Town Highway Department. The closure will be in effect between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on weekdays only.

The work area is near the intersection of Stonepost Road and Olde Wood Road. The town notice says access to and from properties on Stonepost Road will be from Leigh Gate Road only during that time period.

The temporary closure affects daytime travel during the work week, while leaving the road open outside the posted hours. Residents and other drivers who use Stonepost Road should plan around the weekday schedule as the repair work moves forward.
