Planning And Zoning Scam Running Amok In Glastonbury: Officials
Invoices are circulating falsely claiming to be from the Glastonbury Planning and Zoning Division, officials said.

GLASTONBURY, CT — Officials in Glastonbury are alerting residents and property owners to fraudulent invoices falsely claiming to be from the town's Planning and Zoning Division.
Town officials said they recently received reports of suspicious invoices requesting payment for "approval fees" and directing recipients to send funds by wire transfer.
"These documents are not legitimate and were not issued by the town of Glastonbury," officials said. "The Town does not send unsolicited invoices of this nature, nor does it request payment by wire transfer."

Residents who receive one of these fraudulent mailings are being advised to:
- Do not send payment
- Do not respond to the sender
- Do not provide banking or personal information
- Retain the document for reference
- Contact town officials to verify any questionable correspondence
"Anyone who has received one of these invoices or has related questions should contact the Glastonbury Police Department at 860-633-8301 and request a case report," municipal officials said.
