East Granby Tax Deadline Closes In
Tax payments must be received or USPS-postmarked by a specific date to avoid penalties.
EAST GRANBY, CT — East Granby residents have until Monday, Aug. 3, to pay current real estate, personal property and motor vehicle taxes without interest.
Payments must be received or bear a U.S. Postal Service postmark by Monday. Postage-meter dates do not count, according to the Town of East Granby Tax Collector's Office.
Town Hall's Tax Office, at 9 Center St., will remain open until 4 p.m. Monday. Payments left in the outdoor drop box after 4 p.m. will not be considered on time. The drop box, on the side of the building near the Senior Center and police station, accepts checks only.

Taxes unpaid after Aug. 3 will be charged interest at 1.5 percent per month from July 1, with a minimum charge of $2, the town said.
Residents may pay in person by cash, check or card, although card fees apply. They can also pay online; e-check payments carry a flat 95-cent fee, while debit card payments cost 1 percent and credit card payments cost 2.5 percent, both with a $2 minimum fee.

Mailed payments should be sent to: Tax Collector, Town of East Granby, P.O. Box 150411, Hartford, CT 06115-0411. Payments may also be made by phone at 1-833-317-4232.
