Granby, East Granby Schools Rank Among CT’s Top 30

GRANBY-EAST GRANBY, CT — Granby and East Granby both landed among Connecticut’s top 30 school districts in newly released rankings from education website Niche.

Granby ranked No. 26 statewide and earned an A overall grade in the 2027 Best School Districts rankings. East Granby finished three spots behind at No. 29, receiving an A-minus.

Granby also ranked No. 15 in Connecticut on Niche’s separate list of districts with the best teachers, No. 20 for athletics and No. 26 among the best places to teach. Nationally, the district ranked No. 952 among 10,449 districts on the overall list.

Niche released the rankings Sept. 28. Its ratings combine school statistics, federal and state data, and reviews from students, parents and teachers. Ranking factors include academics, graduation rates, college readiness and teacher quality.

For the 2027 rankings, Niche updated its public school assessment data to draw from state sources rather than federal sources, which the company said provides more current measures of academic performance.

Westport ranked first in Connecticut, followed by Greenwich, New Canaan, Ridgefield and Darien.
