More Croissants, More Space: Julien’s Expanding In Downtown Granby
The popular farm-to-table bakery is building a larger café and kitchen in town after two years of growth.
GRANBY, CT — Something big — and buttery — is rising in the center of town.
After two years operating out of its small but beloved farm store, Julien’s is officially building a second, much larger location in Granby that will include a new kitchen and café designed for an expanded menu and more space for the community to gather.

In a recent social media post, the Julien’s team said construction is underway on the new space, even as the interior remains unfinished for now.
“Big things are rising in Granby,” the business wrote, teasing plans for more croissants, doughnuts, and an expanded menu. “The walls may still be bare, but the vision is full.”

The new location will be at 9 Bank St., Granby, placing the farm-to-table bakery and café right in the heart of town. The expansion follows growing demand for Julien’s scratch-made pastries and prepared foods, which have turned the original farm store into a destination stop for locals and visitors alike.
While full details of the café menu haven’t been released, the current Julien’s Farm Store offerings provide a strong preview. The menu features flaky croissants, pain au chocolat, doughnuts, quiche, breakfast sandwiches, rustic loaves, fresh soups, and thoughtfully crafted sandwiches — all made from scratch with an emphasis on local ingredients. The new kitchen is expected to allow for even more variety and seasonal dishes.
Beyond food, the owners say the new café is being designed as a gathering space for Granby — somewhere customers can linger, meet neighbors, and make Julien’s part of their regular routine, not just a quick stop.
“This is just the beginning,” the post added. “Granby, we can’t wait to show you what’s coming.”
An opening timeframe has not yet been finalized, but earlier reports project an early 2026 debut once construction is complete.
