Open Arts Alliance is proud to announce their 2026 summerstage season, which will include Disney’s Aladdin KIDS, At The Bandstand, and Chicago:TEEN EDITION.
“We’re so excited to bring Summerstage back to Greenwich!” says Program Director, Cindy Busani. “There’s nothing more rewarding than watching our students build friendships and have fun while using the skills they learn to shine on stage. We’re thrilled to have this opportunity again, and we can’t wait to have an amazing musical summer with all our returning stars and new students”.
Back by popular demand, one of OAA's most beloved shows, Disney’s Aladdin KIDS, returns for the next generation of performers in grades 1-6 to explore a whole new world! This magical, high energy adventure features beloved characters, catchy songs and a heartwarming story about friendship, courage, and discovering your true potential. Families will get to choose one of two sessions, June 29-July 10 or July 13-July24. Rehearsals will take place at the Greenwich Arts Council, 299 Greenwich Avenue, with performances taking place at Round Hill Community Church.
Students in grades 1-6 will also have the opportunity to step into the vibrant world of '50s entertainment with At The Bandstand. This high-energy musical revue centers around a spirited group of friends, who leap at the chance to join the famed Bandstand Kids on Rockin' Robin's hit TV show. Filled with familiar tunes like "Rockin' Robin," "Splish Splash," "Shake, Rattle and Roll," and "Great Balls of Fire" this is a toe-tapping audience favorite for the first time on an OAA stage. At the Bandstand will be offered in a one-week session, July 27- July 31. Rehearsals will take place at the Greenwich Arts Council, with the final performance taking place at Christ Church Greenwich.
And finally, students in grades 7-12 will have the chance to participate in Chicago:TEEN EDITION. One of Broadway’s longest-running shows, this bold and dazzling musical set in the roaring twenties, exploring fame, friendship, dreams...and All That Jazz. With unforgettable music and characters, this edition is adapted especially for teen performers. This summer, the process for our older students will be a two-week intensive from July 19- August 1. Rehearsals will take place from 10 am-1 pm on Sundays and from 5-8 pm
