Greenwich Nationals 8U, 10U Red Teams Win Summer League Championships

GREENWICH, CT — The Greenwich Nationals 8U and Greenwich Nationals 10U Red travel baseball teams won Summer League championships in the Greater Hudson Valley League on Sunday in Ardsley, N.Y.

The championship was the second for the Greenwich Nationals 8U team, which also won a title this spring.

The 8U team defeated Pomperaug 8U, 6-0, in the championship game. Greenwich scored three runs in the first inning and held Pomperaug scoreless.

The team is coached by Jeff Natale and TJ Ostruzka and includes 11 players: Taylor B., No. 1; Holden B., No. 18; Pierson B., No. 23; James F., No. 6; Cash K., No. 13; Grayson M., No. 11; Ryder N., No. 14; Teddy O., No. 2; Kiran R., No. 12; Brock S., No. 9; and Warren S., No. 3.

The Greenwich Nationals 10U Red team defeated the New Paltz Knights, 7-0, to win its championship. Greenwich recorded 12 hits while holding New Paltz to just three.

The team is coached by Mike Mora and Will Ostruzka and includes 10 players: Mason B., No. 17; Anthony C., No. 1; Ryan H., No. 23; Parker J., No. 2; Grayson L., No. 13; Santino M., No. 30; Trevor M., No. 10; Mack O., No. 12; Rylan S., No. 45; and Chase S., No. 8.
