Larceny Suspect Arrested After Foot Pursuit, Greenwich Police Say
One suspect was arrested and another was identified after a larceny prompted a "significant" police response in Greenwich, police said.
GREENWICH, CT — The Greenwich Police Department announced it is investigating a larceny that occurred in the downtown area on Thursday.
The incident occurred in the 150 block of Greenwich Avenue at approximately 2:46 p.m., according to police, who said two suspects fled the area on foot.
Members of the GPD Organized Retail Crime Unit, with the help of responding patrol officers, immediately responded and began searching the area.

One suspect was apprehended and taken into custody, police said, and a second suspect fled the area but has since been identified by investigators.
"The incident resulted in a significant police presence in the downtown [area] while officers searched for the suspects," police said in an announcement. "There is no threat to the public."

Police said an investigation remains ongoing, and further information will not be released at this time.
"The Greenwich Police Department appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation during today’s incident," police added.
