GREENWICH, CT — Here are the recent death notices from Greenwich

Rosaria S. Crudele, 82, died Aug. 2, 2026, after coming to the U.S. from Italy in 1971, and enjoyed cooking and gardening while sharing her family's traditions and faith.

William J. Quinn, 81, died Aug. 1, 2026, and was a psychotherapist and psychoanalyst who maintained a private practice in Greenwich and spent 30 years with Greenwich Public Schools, including at Julian Curtiss School and Greenwich High School's Bella House, where he led a crisis team.

Paul Alexei Olmsted, 70, died July 29, 2026, and worked in the energy industry for Petroleum Industry Research Associates and Consolidated Edison for more than two decades, served on the Greenwich RTM from 2014 to 2025, Republican Town Committee, Parks and Recreation Committee, and the Public Works Committee, was a senior deacon at the First Congregational Church of Greenwich, and enjoyed sailing, hiking, playing guitar and performing with the band Novak.

Donald Merchant, 84, died July 28, 2026, and was a U.S. Air Force veteran who rose to administrative captain during a 30-year career with the Greenwich Police Department before working for Northfield Fuel and Get About, and enjoyed watching the New York Yankees, spending time at Island Beach, and was a lifetime member of the Orinoco Council No. 39 of the Knights of Columbus and a former commander of the Byram Veterans Association.

Jane Traphagen Yates, 97, died July 28, 2026, and worked for Time Inc., Mead School and Play-Care in Greenwich while volunteering with the Greenwich Junior League, Greenwich Garden Club, Riverside Yacht Club, Christ Church Altar Guild and First Congregational Church.

Gladys Casella Kelly, 95, died July 25, 2026, and worked for the New York Telephone Company, the Herald Statesman and several Greenwich businesses, including Carnival Card Stop, the Hallmark Store, The Dress Box, Central Park and The Flower Shop Gallery, where she enjoyed creating floral arrangements, and also enjoyed bowling, sewing, gardening, drawing, completing jigsaw puzzles and cooking.

John Frank Dobrucky Jr., 85, died July 24, 2026, and worked as a concrete and steel inspector, held a commercial lobster license, and enjoyed golf, winemaking, watercolor painting, restoring boats, horseback riding, fishing, and spending time at Island Beach, Tod's Point and Byram Shore, while remaining an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
