2 Beloved Noank Eateries To Close: Reports
Two staples in Noank are shutting their doors. One of the businesses has been around for over a century.
GROTON, CT — Two Noank businesses will be closing at the end of February, according to The Connecticut Scoop.
Carson's Store and Palmer's Provisions & Pizza will both be shutting their doors.
Carson's is a breakfast-and-lunch restaurant located at 43 Main St. in Noank. The establishment originally opened in 1907 and was a general store.

Carson's operated at two different locations before settling in at its Main Street spot, according to the restaurant's website. The outside still resembles a general store while the interior has a retro 1950s lunch-counter appearance.
Owner David Blacker told The Day of New London that the store will close Feb. 28 but declined further comment.

Carson's has a 4.7-star average rating on 397 Google reviews.
"I have been coming to this little gem for over 8 years now," one reviewer said. "It's cozy and (has) the most delicious breakfast food around."
Palmer's Provisions & Pizza is located nearby at 17 Pearl St. in Noank. The eatery is described as a "nautical-themed pizza place in a historic building," according to its Facebook page.
Beyond pizza, Palmer's also serves gourmet sandwiches, salads, and grinders.
Palmer's has a 4.8-star average rating on 69 Google reviews.
