Guilford Yacht Club To Host Free 'Songwriters in the Round' Event: Details
The event is open to all residents from Guilford, Madison, Branford, North Branford and Killingworth.
GUILFORD, CT — Guilford Yacht Club will host a free outdoor songwriters showcase July 8, inviting residents from Guilford, Madison, Branford, North Branford and Killingworth to an evening of live music overlooking Long Island Sound.
The "Songwriters in the Round" event is scheduled for 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the club’s Great Lawn at 379 Whitfield St., with doors opening at 5 p.m. The program is organized by Joe Briganti and Bill Rowen.
Inspired by the format of Nashville’s Bluebird Cafe, the event will feature songwriters performing original music while sharing stories behind their songs and interacting with the audience.

The event is open to adults ages 21 and older and will follow a bring-your-own-beverage format.
"This event is about more than just music — it’s about connection," said Rowen, a Guilford resident, in an announcement. "Our artists share not only their songs, but their stories, humor, and love of performing. The circle seating brings guests right into the heart of the experience, while everyone on the lawn can enjoy a relaxed evening of music and summer fun."
Seville, a New England-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, is known for his roots-rock and alt-country sound and has released music through Island, Atlantic and Universal Records.
His work has been featured across major U.S. television networks, and he has shared stages and recording booths with veteran musicians, including members of Queen, Bad Company, and Free.
Berardo has built a following through his folk-rock songwriting and live performances, while Critelli is known for blending folk, rock and Americana with an engaging stage presence.
Organizers said the event will move indoors to the yacht club ballroom in the event of inclement weather.
