School Water Main Project To Impact Traffic In Guilford: Details
Traffic will be temporarily rerouted to minimize congestion in the work area.
GUILFORD, CT — Guilford Public Schools is currently in the process of replacing the south water main at Adams Middle School, and on Thursday, crews will tap into the water main located beneath the northbound lane of traffic on Church Street (Route 77), according to GPS Director of Facilities Clifford Gurnham.
To help minimize congestion on Church Street, northbound traffic will be temporarily rerouted through the Adams School bus loop, Gurnham told Patch.
"This approach will allow us to complete the work without fully closing one lane of traffic," he said.
